MISSION

WHY SHOULDN’T FASHION GET PEOPLE FED?

Sky High Farm Workwear is a benevolent brand and a new model for regenerative, sly fundraising. It’s an accessible, and unusual way to engage with Sky High Farm, the brand’s sole beneficiary, a nonprofit organization that grows fresh and nutritious food exclusively for donation.

GOOD GOODS FOR GOOD

SHFWW is Sky High Farm’s mirror: it exists solely to donate its profits to the 501(C)(3) in furtherance of its mission. Every customer becomes a donor, and their dollars do double duty: the farm gets the funds to do its work, and our customers get the gear to do theirs.

BETTER CONSUMPTION FOR BETTER CONSUMPTION

Born from the dirt and the hands that tend it, we make playful, romantic gear meant to be put to work - whatever that may look like for you.

Our collections always emphasize sustainable products and fabrication processes, including the use of vintage, deadstock, and recycled fabrics, and earth-friendly production technologies. Season over season, SHFWW will continue to prioritize and improve its commitment to these methods.

All stores invited to purchase the collection must commit to a guaranteed donation to Sky High Farm, and are encouraged to only buy what they can sell.

HISTORY

Sky High Farm Workwear is creatively directed by artist Dan Colen, also the founder of the brand’s sole beneficiary, Sky High Farm, which was founded in 2011 in the heart of the Hudson Valley in Ancramdale, NY. In 2016 it received its designation as a 501(C)(3). Around this time, the need for nutritious food increased for many, and it became clear that a more lasting and communal mode of fundraising would help ensure that the farm could continue to meet demand.

Prior to launching SHFWW, the farm tested out the fashion-to-food hypothesis, proudly collaborating with creatives, artists and organizations to raise funds through limited edition apparel releases. Participants included: 917, Anicka Yi, Awake Better Gift Shop™, CPFM, Cyprien Gaillard, Dash Snow Estate x Dan Colen, Denim Tears, Elizabeth Peyton, Fucking Awesome, Gordon Parks Foundation, Hank Willis Thomas, Infinite Archives, Irak, JAM/Linda Goode Bryant, Jeff Koons, Jenny Holzer, Joe Bradley, Jordan Wolfson, Josh Smith, Nate Lowman, Kara Walker, Kunle Martins, Made Me, Mark Grotjahn, Maurizio Catalan, Nate Lowman, Noah, Rashid Johnson, Raymond Pettibon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Rita Ackermann, Supreme, Takashi Murakami, Total Luxury Spa and Urs Fischer, among others.
